The aim of these sites is to poison spammer's email harvests with garbage email addresses. People who attempt this tactic should make sure that the addresses used are not (and will never be) deliverable. They must not have mail servers set up, otherwise someone will have to cope with extra connections to non-existent users. Seemingly random domains can be real and in use, so harvesting of these by spammers will cause an extra burden on these innocent systems.
